Yemen Bread Factory Project

“He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbour goes hungry”. – The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

People in Yemen are starving. Despite ongoing humanitarian support the country’s food insecurity is currently at a crisis point with 17 million Yemenis going to sleep hungry.

Support our bread factories to help alleviate the crisis by providing fresh bread everyday to those in most need.

£60 family bread – This will provide daily bread to 2 families of about 7 people each for a month. Fresh bread will be supplied to each family every day.

£120 bakery support – This will help us provide bread for 938 hungry people.

£240 bakery support – This will help us provide bread for 1,875 hungry people.

Support our bread factories today

It has been 8 years since the war in Yemen started. The conflict has crippled an already struggling economy.

As a result,  17 million people in Yemen cannot put food on their tables. Some families go for days without eating.

Some Yemenis are left scavenging wild or harmful foods.

The rate of child malnutrition is one of the highest in the world and the nutrition situation continues to deteriorate. In fact, almost one third of families have gaps in their diets, because of this malnutrition rates among women and children in Yemen remain among the highest in the world.

Bread is a lifeline for hungry families. Support our bakeries today and help us provide urgently needed food.

Last year, the war in  Ukraine exacerbated  the crisis as Yemen imports 45% of its flour from Ukraine/Russia.

A lack of fuel, flour and a crippled economy has meant that the risk of famine-like conditions is increasing each day.

After nine  years of hardship and uncertainty, people in Yemen need our support.

Help us alleviate the suffering that they endure each day.

Small ask, Big reward

“The best of you are those who feed others.” [Ahmad]

So far, with your help and support we have developed, smooth-running, localised bread factories to support those most in need. Your donations help us operate the bakeries and to continue feeding the starting people of Yemen.

We provide bread to over 28,000 people daily

Our bread factories are providing a sense of normality to those who’ve endured 9 years of a brutal and devastating war in one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.

Right now, we support 12 bakeries, providing essential bread to over 28,000 people every day. With your generous support, we want to provide bread to more people in Yemen.

We are on a mission to feed as many people as possible and put an end to food insecurity in Yemen. But, with 10 million Yemenis currently one step away from famine. We need to act fast.

Donate to our bread factories and help make life a little bearable for those living in what has been described as hell on earth!

Support our bread factories in Yemen.
