Charity Week 2026: Real Relief on the Ground

This Charity Week, university Islamic Societies across the UK are coming together with one purpose: to deliver real relief directly to those who need it most.

Partnering with Mercy Relief UK, we are raising funds for two vital humanitarian responses:

Yemen Emergency Appeal

The crisis in Yemen continues to deepen. Renewed fighting has recently forced over 90,000 people from their homes, adding to a decade of severe hardship and economic collapse. An estimated 22.3 million people, more than two-thirds of the population, now require urgent humanitarian support.

Mercy Relief works directly on the ground in Yemen, delivering food parcels, clean water, and vital medical care straight to families in crisis.

Gaza Mobile Clinics

The healthcare crisis in Gaza remains severe. With 94% of healthcare facilities damaged or destroyed, over 2 million people are left relying on a small number of partially functioning hospitals.

Mercy Relief's mobile clinics travel directly into displacement camps, bringing qualified doctors, nurses, and essential medicine to families who cannot reach a medical facility.

How You Can Help

Yemen Emergency:

  • £80: Food parcel for a family, providing essential food for an entire month

  • £120: Food parcel and a clean water supply for a family for a month

  • £250: Emergency medical care and health support for injured and displaced families

Gaza Mobile Clinics:

  • £50: One complete medical consultation

  • £200: Essential, life-saving medication

  • £1,000: A full day of mobile clinic operations, treating approximately 70 patients

  • £10,000: A complete mobile clinic operational cycle, covering medical staff, vehicles, and essential medicine
